A Night of Comedy: McGill IBD Fundraiser

The 2025 edition of The McGill IBD Research Group‘s annual fundraiser.

Organized by the McGill IBD Research Group in collaboration with the Montreal General Hospital Foundation, the 2025 edition of the annual fundraising evening for the McGill Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Research Group will be a night full of laughs, warmth, and community.

Funds raised support the care of 10,000 patients treated each year at the McGill IBD clinics:

  • The MUHC IBD Centre at the Montreal General Hospital
  • The IBD clinic at the Montreal Children’s Hospital
  • The IBD clinic at the Jewish General Hospital

The evening consists of a cocktail dinatoire, catered by Ronnie’s (formerly Java-U Catering), and a comedy show with a line-up of up-and-coming comedians, featuring headliner Joey Elias, and hosted by comedian and in-game animator for the Montreal Canadiens, Olivia Benaroche. This year’s event takes place at Le Rinque on Thursday, November 20, at 6:00 p.m.

Your Impact on IBD Patients

With your support, the McGill IBD Research Group hopes to raise $450,000. This year, all donations will be matched up to $600,000 by an anonymous donor. The funds allow patients with IBD to have access to specialized IBD nurses, and auxiliary and support staff, who address both the physical and mental health of IBD patients. They also support IBD research and Fellowship training programs. Your donations significantly improve the quality of life of those living with IBD.
